The RF Extender allows the user to control a *PianoDisc unit using radio frequency (sound) technology instead of infrared, or light.  RF signals can travel unimpeded through hard surfaces, even walls.  IR, on the other hand, requires an uninterrupted line-of-sight to operate, since light travels in a straight line. 

With the addition of an RF Extender, PianoDisc's remote control unit lets you operate the piano from anywhere in the house---from down the hall, several rooms away, around corners, etc., for greater convenience.
