This 52” Upright was originally purchased new in 1987 and is in impeccable condition. The extended height gives the piano a superior bass and Kawai left no stone unturned in designing this instrument to the highest standards. One look at the piano will tell you this is no standard studio upright. My favorite feature other than the superior tone is the full music stand. Anyone familiar with the standard style studio upright will know how frustrating it is when having to read music from a book when all the support it has is a very insignificant music shelf. This piano will accommodate a book or two with no problem since it is comparable to that of a grand piano. Cabinetry is beautiful since all the usual boxy squared off edges are gone replaced by detailed curves and rounded edges. If you have been looking at Kawai uprights this model is very close in design to the current K8, Kawai’s $12,000 top of the line upright with very few differences. This piano was cherished by the previous owner and will provide a tremendous value to the luck new owner. All mechanics have been checked and are up to factory spec. Piano comes with 5 year warranty.
